For a comfortable and enjoyable Oahu deep sea fishing experience, we recommend bringing a light jacket to combat the morning and evening chill caused by trade winds, sunscreen, food, and drinks. If you’re prone to sea sickness, consider taking Dramamine 24 hours before your trip. We provide all the necessary fishing gear, tackle, as well as a refrigerator and cooler for your food and drinks.

Where is the best place to get snacks and drinks for my fishing charter in Oahu, HI?

We highly recommend getting your refreshments the day before your fishing charter with us in Oahu, HI. Most area vendors for food and drinks are not open early when our first fishing charters get underway and getting them the day before also saves the hassle of trying to make your fishing charter reservation time.

Aside from our knowledgable captain, crew, and full compliment of gear – our boat has a comfortably air conditioned cabin and a generously large bridge upstairs with plenty of shade.

If you start feeling seasick, don’t worry. On private charters, we can return to shore if your party decides to. On shared charters, we’ll put it to a vote. To prevent seasickness, consider taking Dramamine or a doctor-prescribed patch in advance. Spending time on deck in the fresh air can also help alleviate discomfort.

Can I take home the fish I catch on Oahu deep sea fishing trips?

Absolutely! After an exciting day of Oahu deep sea fishing with Island Charters of Hawaii Sport Fishing, you’re welcome to take home up to 50% of fish portions for fish under 100 lbs, totaling up to 50 lbs. Fish over 100 lbs will not be cut. Fish cutting is at the captain’s discretion, and feel free to ask for homestyle recipes!

What if the weather causes a cancellation of our fishing trip in Oahu, HI?

If adverse weather conditions prevent us from departing, and we cannot reschedule your trip, we will provide a full refund.
